In November 2007, Madalena executed joint venture agreements with Hidrocarburos del Neuquén Sociedad Anonime ("HIDENESA"), the Neuquén Provincial Hydrocarbon Company, on three concessions granted by the Province of Neuquén in Argentina, South America. The three blocks, Coiron Amargo, Cortadera, and Curamhuele are located in the Neuquén producing basin in the Province of Neuquén and contain approximately 278,000 acres of exploration area.
